How are claims submitted when using Gateway EDI as our clearinghouse?

There are two methods to submit claims when using Gateway EDI as your clearinghouse with My Vision Express:

-Manually- when you submit the claim, an ANSI837 file is generated in a specified directory. You then take that file, and manually upload it to the Gateway EDI website.

-FTP - If your account has this feature enabled and it's been configured correctly in MVE, you can submit via FTP (File Transfer Protocol). With this method, after submitting said claim the file is automatically uploaded to Gateway EDI's claim server (you will receive a notification stating the file was uploaded successfully).
