Why can't I find my item after scanning the barcode?

Sometimes when scanning an item, the inventory record is not returned.
This is usually caused by an incorrect check digit used in the UPC code entered on the item.
You can verify the item's UPC as follows:
1. Find the UPC for the item from the respective inventory listing (Frames, Spectacle Lens, Contact Lens, etc...)
2. Click Here to access a Check Digit calculator
a. Enter the first 11 digits of the item's UPC in the section labeled "Calculate Check Digit - GS1 Key without check digit"
b. Click on "Calculate"
c. The correct check digit will be displayed, compare it with the item's UPC
3. If the item's UPC has an incorrect check digit, replace the check digit and print a new barcode label
