Why is my marketing code not calculating?

A marketing code may not apply to an order for mutiple reasons. See below for some resolutions to the most common problems:

File > Setup > Marketing

1. Confirm the Marketing code is not expired by reviewing the "Valid Dates"

2. If using a Percent or Amount discount, confirm the "Percentage Discount" or "Amount Discount" checbox is selected accordingly and the percentage or amount discount is entered

3. If Marketing Details are available (Details tab of the Marketing setup window), make sure one of each item defined in the detail is added to the order

a. If using Marketing Groups, confirm the item added to the order belongs to the group selected for the marketing detail

Any open orders should be closed and reopened if a change is applied in the marketing setup before it can be reflected on the order.

The marketing code will have to be refreshed by removing and re-selecting it to apply the changes.
