Licensed Users with Expired or No Support Agreement: 

If your Maintenance and Support Plan is not current you should not download this update because it may lock up your system. 

If you require this update please contact support to  renew your support agreement. If you are not sure when your support agreement expires please call (877)-882-7456 to verify if you are eligible.

Before you begin: 

Backup your database. My Vision Express is not responsible for any data loss.
Upgrade to SQL Server 2005 must be done before upgrading My Vision Express. Upgrade will fail on earlier version of SQL Server. If unsure please contact us.
  • Please Read the Release Notes detailing all the changes made to the version that you currently have. Make sure you agree with all the changes before proceeding.

  • To upgrade to this version, you must be running Version 4.50 or higher. If you are running anything earlier to 4.5 you should upgrade to version 4.50 first. Please download and install version 4.50 from the link below.

Important considerations:


  • Network Edition Users: 

    • Main Server computer must be upgraded first.

    • Verify everything works on the server before upgrading the clients.

    • It is VERY IMPORTANT that all computers are updated to the new version at the same time or this could result in data corruption and application crash




  • Never rollback to a previous version as this may cause data corruption


To begin the Upgrade:


  • Restart your computer.

  • Close My Vision Express and any other programs that may be running in the background.

  • Shut down/Disable all FIREWALL and ANTI-VIRUS utilities on your system.

  • Click HERE and click on the Save option. Select a location on your computer hard drive to save the update application file (Approximately 80 MB).

  • Double-click the downloaded file (update.exe) and follow the instructions on the screen.

  • Repeat steps 1-6 for each client computer
