How do I setup available Spectacle Lens treatments?

Certain lens treatments can only be applied to specific lenses and vice versa. Specify the available lens treatments for specific Spectacle Lens Inventory items. This will allow for:

  • Increased order accuracy – only valid spectacle lens/lens treatments combinations can be ordered
  • Reduced order delays, resulting in increased customer satisfaction

For example, Definity® 3 lenses are only available with Crizal anti-reflective coatings. You can setup these lenses so that the only available coating options are Crizal AR coatings and restrict all other AR coatings from being ordered when a Definity® 3 lens is selected for an order.

To setup Available Lens Treatments for a single Spectacle Lens Inventory item:

  1. Go to File > Inventory > Spectacle Lens
  2. Select the lens you wish to specify available lens treatments
  3. Click the Modify button. The Add/Modify Spectacle Lens Inventory screen will appear
  4. Click on the Treatments tab. The Lens Treatment Inventory Listing will show in alphabetical order
  5. Mark the check box in the Include column next to lens treatments that are an available option for the selected Spectacle Lens Inventory Item
    1. Use the Select All button to select all lens treatment options, as needed
    2. Use the Deselect All button to unselect all lens treatment options, as needed
  6. Click the OK button to save to changes to the selected Spectacle Lens

To specify the Available Lens Treatments for multiple Spectacle Lens Inventory items at the same time:

  1. Go to File > Inventory > Spectacle Lens
  2. Click the Filter button to filter the lenses
  3. Select all the lenses you wish to specify Available Lens Treatments
  4. Click the Details button. The Spectacle Lens Details screen will appear
  5. Click on the Treatments tab. The Lens Treatment Inventory Listing will show in alphabetical order, under the Name column
  6. Mark the check box in the Include column next to lens treatments that are an available option for the selected Spectacle Lens Inventory Item
    1. Use the Select All button to select all lens treatment options, as needed
    2. Use the Deselect All button to unselect all lens treatment options, as needed
  7. Click the OK button to save and apply changes to all selected Spectacle Lenses

At the time of the order, when a Definity® 3 lens is selected, if Available Spectacle Lens Treatments are setup, only the compatible lens treatment options will be available to add to the order.
