2018 CMS Quality Reporting

Eye Care Leaders is excited to bring you great news on an important project for 2018! This is related to our continuous effort to stay ahead of the curve in technology, regulations, and compliance, so you may focus on what is most important; providing better quality of care for your patients and successfully growing your business.

Eye Care Leaders is pleased to announce the release of My Vision Express Version 2018 which has been certified for the 2015 Edition CEHRT required for 2018 MIPS reporting by the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC). As part of these government-mandated initiatives, we are implementing a transition process across all of our client software, including My Vision Express, to give you access to the most up-to-date and compliant solutions available. As part of this initiative, we will be updating your system as well as the associated applications that capture and transmit the data needed to give you proper credit for the 2018 CMS quality reporting initiative MIPS.

Below is a summary of the project requirements and deadlines. It is especially important to schedule as soon as possible to achieve the top bonus for MIPS. Read below to understand the changes required to update your EHR, and the associated efforts needed by your practice.

Upgrading Projects and Deadlines

If you are reporting MIPS quality measures via the EHR or registry submission methods to avoid a negative penalty, it is urgent that you update by May 31. Please submit your release request immediately and we will prioritize you on the schedule list. For other MIPS reporters and to enjoy the benefits of the new release, we recommend you update by Sept. 15, 2018. Staff training is also recommended to get them up to speed and ensure understanding of the new EHR workflow requirements for proper quality reporting credit.

  • Part 1 My Vision Express upgrade – This change involves popular requested updates to the calendar, exams and orders. There are online tutorials, user guides, and more with an estimated training time of three hours.
  • Part 2 – Regulatory Compliance Platform (MIPS Dashboard) – As part of our 2015 CEHRT certification, we have included this update as a complimentary addition to your EHR to help you optimize your MIPS Bonus. There are minimal IT requirements and only one hour of training.

MVE Cloud Connectivity Issue KB4103727

A recent Windows 10 update (KB4103727) has been causing issue related to Remote Desktop and RemoteApp connections.

This update must be uninstalled to resolve login issues.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Click the Windows Start button
  2. Type “View your update history” – then select this
  3. Click “Uninstall Updates” – this will open a new window
  4. In the upper-right portion of this window, search for “KB4103727”
  5. Right-click this update and select “Uninstall”
  6. Wait for this to uninstall, then restart the computer before attempting to log into MVE Cloud again.

MVE Service Cloud Announcement

Eye Care Leaders is excited to announce the transition of your My Vision Express ticketing system from Kayako Help Desk to Salesforce Service Cloud. Eye Care Leaders is moving in the direction of support teams to be on one unified platform for all service needs in order to provide quicker response times and increased convenience.

Your My Vision Express Support team has already begun this transition. Customer access to the previous ticketing system, Kayako Help Desk, is being disabled, and all new cases will be opened in our new ticketing system. However, you can still view your active tickets in Kayako Help Desk until they are closed.
