Release Notes: My Vision Express Version 2014, Build 150406

 Release Notes: Build 150406

We are pleased to to announce the public release of Build 150406 for My Vision Express® Version 2014. Among the new features are:

  • Signature Capture device integration for electronic signatures;
  • Lock Delivered Orders Setting to automatically lock an order that has been updated to a "Delivered" status;
  • Exam Summary vs. Details option to view the Exam Summary tab in either the original format of past exam information or the new format of current exam information;
  • Ability to Link Treatment Plans to a diagnosis for use in an exam;
  • Convert ICD-9 to ICD-10 option to enable the user to convert diagnosis codes from ICD-9 to ICD-10; and
  • Calendar Wait List to keep a list of patients (new or existing) to contact when there is an opening in the schedule.

Enhancements include:

  • Daily Closing - an option to remove Manager Discounts;
  • Exams - when the Rx Type in the Refractive tab is set to "Lensmeter", the Usage field will display; and
  • Insurance - the Insurance Group now has a sort/header filter for V codes.

Several previously reported issues have been resolved, among them:

  • Patient Communications - promotional texts will be restricted for minors.

As it is our mission to continue to offer you our very best service, we strive to make improvements everyday. As part of our ongoing effort to provide you with the latest software updates, fixes and enhancements we will be performing a new build release for My Vision Express 2014, Build 150224.

During this release process there will be loss of connection or a possible disconnection; as such, we advise that customers make note of this brief interruption.

The scheduled My Vision Express 2014 Build Release process will affect users for approximately two hours on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the following local time:

  • 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM EST

Release Notes: My Vision Express® Version 2014, Build 150224

 Release Notes: Build 150224

We are pleased to to announce the public release of Build 150224 for My Vision Express® Version 2014 (MVE 2014). Two new features are:

  • Insurance Plan Sync Button to individually sync any insurance plan imported from the My Vision Express database;
  • Add New Value by adding a new option to most of the drop-down menus.


Among the enhancements that MVE 2014 - Build 150224 brings are:

  • Daily Closing - the payment method now displays in the same order as the payment method sort order in Categories;
  • Exams and EHR - PQRS codes will no longer be included in the Unbilled Exam Charges Report. Also, enhancements have been made to the Exam module to where the Notes field in the IOP section will display in exam letters, and any prescription transmitted electronically will be highlighted in green;
  • Insurance - the Insurance drop-down in the Add Appointment screen will flag insurance companies without plans in red;
  • Inventory - specify that only certain spectacles lens materials are available for a frame. Additionally, the LOD link for contact lenses will now import and/or update images of the contact lens boxes.

Several previously reported issues have been resolved, among them:

  • Batch Payments - Post Date and Check Date fields have been added to the Batch Payments screen;
  • Calendar - the Patient Tracker is now isolated by location and will not affect the View Color Code setting in the Calendar module;
  • Exam and EHR - in the Assessment tab of the Exam module, the ICD description was removed from the ICD field to allow for selection of the same diagnosis code multiple times.

Many features of the software require Internet access as well. If you are an Eligible Professional (EP), some of these are required to qualify for the "Meaningful Use" of certified electronic health record (EHR) technology under the incentive programs from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. My Vision Express Cloud users will be updated to the new release automatically; users of a local server installation of My Vision Express will be prompted to update to the latest build.

We are pleased to to announce the public release of Build 141215 for My Vision Express® Version 2014 (MVE 2014). Among the new features are:

  • Split Views for data grids that are too large to display horizontally;
  • Header Filters to sort and perform advanced filtering of data;
  • Provider Level Balancing for end-of-business (EOB) close.

 

MVE 2014 - Build 141215 brings enhancements to:

  • Daily Closing - perform daily closings by user;
  • Exams and EHR - automatic assignment of OD, OS, or OU to diagnoses as selected using the Available button in the examination's Assessment tab;
  • Insurance - prompts to update the status, submitted flag, and submitted date upon submission or printing of individual or batch claims;
  • Inventory - modification of order labels, import of laboratory information when adding a new spectacle lens, display of wholesale pricing (Group Cost) and status (Active/Discontinued) for frames.

 

Several previously reported issues have been resolved, among them:

  • Batch Payments - Claim Status added to Batch Payment Order search options;
  • Calendar - filtering of Active and Inactive patients in search, system prompts when deleting recurring availability exceptions (delete the entire series or one instance), Patient Tracker default view displaying all appointments (except canceled and rescheduled).

Registration Requirements: Support Central Access

My Vision Express users will be required to register in our Support Central to view the Video Tutorials, Downloads, Knowledge Base, Help File, and Release Notes. Registering with Support Central will allow our Support Team to provide content specific material to our users quickly and efficiently.

The Support Team will be focusing more attention on providing workflow specific videos, guides and articles to provide you with the materials to use My Vision Express to its fullest potential in your office.

The registration process is easy and can be completed by following the instructions below. 

 

1. Go to support.myvisionexpress.com and click on the Register link in the main menu. Register for Support Central

2. Fill in the required fields and click on the Register button at the bottom of the form. Support Central Sign Up

3. Confirmation of your registration will be sent via email to the address provided. Support Central Confirmation Email



4. Login to Support Central with your email and password. Support Central Login
