 Release Notes: Build 150224

We are pleased to to announce the public release of Build 150224 for My Vision Express® Version 2014 (MVE 2014). Two new features are:

  • Insurance Plan Sync Button to individually sync any insurance plan imported from the My Vision Express database;
  • Add New Value by adding a new option to most of the drop-down menus.


Among the enhancements that MVE 2014 - Build 150224 brings are:

  • Daily Closing - the payment method now displays in the same order as the payment method sort order in Categories;
  • Exams and EHR - PQRS codes will no longer be included in the Unbilled Exam Charges Report. Also, enhancements have been made to the Exam module to where the Notes field in the IOP section will display in exam letters, and any prescription transmitted electronically will be highlighted in green;
  • Insurance - the Insurance drop-down in the Add Appointment screen will flag insurance companies without plans in red;
  • Inventory - specify that only certain spectacles lens materials are available for a frame. Additionally, the LOD link for contact lenses will now import and/or update images of the contact lens boxes.

Several previously reported issues have been resolved, among them:

  • Batch Payments - Post Date and Check Date fields have been added to the Batch Payments screen;
  • Calendar - the Patient Tracker is now isolated by location and will not affect the View Color Code setting in the Calendar module;
  • Exam and EHR - in the Assessment tab of the Exam module, the ICD description was removed from the ICD field to allow for selection of the same diagnosis code multiple times.

Please Note:  An Internet connection is required to run the application. The software periodically performs a license check that would fail without Internet connectivity. Many features of the software require Internet access as well. If you are an Eligible Professional (EP), some of these are required to qualify for the "Meaningful Use" of certified electronic health record (EHR) technology under the incentive programs from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. My Vision Express Cloud users will be updated to the new release automatically; users of a local server installation of My Vision Express will be prompted to update to the latest build.
